Located in Toufen City, Miaoli County, Luogengpi Pond’s name is derived from the Chinese words for compass (luojing or luopan), as the pond's shape resembles this instrument. The water source is drawn from the Dapu Reservoir via the Dapu Main Line and pumped to Luogengpi by the Xinglong Pumping Station. The water is then distributed through the Luogengpi Lateral Canal to the seventh irrigation group of the Dapu Workstation for agricultural irrigation. Since the completion and operation of the Dapu Reservoir in June 1960, Luogengpi has played a crucial role in adjusting irrigation water supply.
