Introduction
The Chuanlong Canal Main Line draws water from the Houlong River at Fuji. During the Japanese occupation, it was divided into north and south main lines for irrigation. It is the largest intake among all the canals managed by our office and the only major irrigation artery in Gongguan Township. In 1957, a new location for the Chuanlong Canal was established near Shuilong at Shangfuji Amituo. The canal's abundant subsurface flow along its route is closely tied to the prosperity of Gongguan Township, making it the largest granary in Miaoli County due to its continuous water flow.
