The Dafengpi Rubber Dam is located in Ren'an Village, Gongguan Township, Miaoli County. The water source comes from the Houlong River. Originally, a fixed weir was installed to divert water for irrigation to the Jianshandong Canal and Dafengpi Canal farmlands. However, the structure raised the water level, causing flooding issues around the Dongxiqiao area. Therefore, in 2013, the weir was replaced with a rubber dam. This improvement not only continues to supply water to Dafengpi but also allows for shared water intake among Jianshandong Canal and the downstream Hewupi, effectively addressing the flooding problem.
